Commissioning & Testing
Technical coordination
When multiple systems operate simultaneously, coordination is key. Air handling, heating, cooling, and control systems constantly influence one another; any deviation in flow rate, pressure, or control settings has a direct impact on comfort and energy consumption.
Installations must therefore not only meet design specifications, but also function reliably under load.
Sectors
FlowBalance serves building owners, installation companies, consultants, and government agencies in industrial, utility, and public sectors, with experience in fields such as medical and pharmaceutical environments, high-tech, manufacturing, and education.
Technically complex buildings that are subject to heavy use require a comprehensive understanding and specialized expertise.

Services
FlowBalance performs specialized measurements, validations, and technical adjustments on HVAC systems and related equipment. The services listed below provide an overview of our expertise in commissioning and testing.
Air-side and water-side balancing
Adjusting air and water flow rates to ensure that HVAC systems operate stably, efficiently, and as designed.
Noise measurements
Measurements of noise levels in facilities and spaces to assess comfort and identify acoustic issues.
Validation of cleanrooms
Monitoring and validation of airflow, pressure differentials, and performance within cleanroom environments.
Validation of fume hoods and flow benches
Testing and verifying the airflow and safety performance of fume hoods and flow cabinets.
Configuring pressure hierarchies
Adjusting and monitoring pressure differentials between rooms to ensure controlled airflow and safety.
Project Management
Technical support during installation and commissioning to ensure that systems are put into operation correctly and in accordance with the design.
Control measurements / Baseline measurements
Conducting baseline and follow-up measurements to objectively document the initial conditions or performance of systems.
Consulting and Optimization
Analysis of system performance, including recommendations for improvements in efficiency, comfort, and reliability.
Annual MOT inspections
Regular performance checks to monitor the performance of systems and identify any issues in a timely manner.
Fan speeds
Measuring and monitoring fan speeds to precisely adjust airflow rates and system performance.
Procedure
A project begins with a review of drawings, diagrams, and design specifications. This is followed by the practical work: systems are measured, inspected, and fine-tuned step by step.
Upon completion, a structured measurement report will be provided, detailing the measured values and findings. The work is performed in accordance with ISSO 31, 52, and 65.
